At Oval #2 East, our Hoppers Crossing Sunday XI White got the win against Strathmore Sunday XI on Sunday.
Strathmore Sunday XI's innings closed at 10/131 from 35.1 overs. Mineru Vithanage was the main threat for the hosts, making 27. Sahith Bonala picked up three for 16 off 6.1 overs. There were also wickets for Nithin Shetty (three for 17).
In reply, the team reached the target at 6/134 in 23.1 overs. Shetty posted a half-century, making 54 off 30 balls with ten fours and two sixes. Christian Karunatileke was the main threat for our opponents, taking three for 15.
It was a superb all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up.
