Sunday didn't go our way, as our Hoppers Crossing Sunday XI went down to Kew Sunday XI on a tough day.
We finished on 10/223, with Kew Sunday XI on 9/275. Sainandan Nathi made a cracking 60 off 53 balls, a well-made fifty. Azib Javed posted a half-century, making 50 off 67 balls with six fours and one six. Michael Inglis was the pick of our opponents' bowlers with three for 38. The hosts also got three for 50 from David Orchard.
Credit to Nathan Bernet, who made a century (106) for our opponents. Owen Hereford posted 50 for the hosts, a fine fifty. Javed grabbed three for 46. Nathi chipped in with two for 63.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. The group will be keen to bounce back.
