It was a good day out for our Hoppers Crossing 3rd XI, who beat Werribee 3rd XI on Saturday.
Our bowlers restricted Werribee 3rd XI to 109 from 40.1 overs. Ghaznfar Hussain was the pick of our bowlers with four for 12. Dev Adeshara offered good support with four for 21.
In reply, the team reached the target at 1/115 in 20.4 overs. Syed Bilal Mehdi was unbeaten on 46 off 49 balls. Arjun Itankar chipped in with 43.
Getting that first win of the season on the board is a brilliant moment for the group.
Congratulations to all involved.
