At Turf Oval #2, our Hoppers Crossing 3rd XI were denied by Brunswick 3rd XI in a tough outing.
Brunswick 3rd XI made 9/345, and we made 10/296. Azib Javed posted a good hundred, making 103 off 152 balls. Syed Bilal Mehdi's 52 off 43 balls was a half-century to remember. Aryan Chugh provided good support with 39. Jack Nolte did the damage for our opponents with three for 55.
Gytanshu Garg returned figures of three for 45 off sixteen overs. Lachlan Herden also took two for 35. James Ingham posted a great hundred for the visitors, finishing on 115.
Plenty to take out of this one.
Credit to our opponents, and well played.
