It was a disappointing outing for our Hoppers Crossing 2nd XI, who came up short against Taylors Lakes 2nd XI on a day that didn't go our way.
We made 10/180, while Taylors Lakes 2nd XI made 5/205. Xavier Holt posted 80 not out for the visitors, a stylish fifty. Ethan Just made a classy 51 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Bhaumik Jani was the pick of our bowlers with two for 22.
Fifty for Arjun Itankar, who finished with 81 not out off 113 balls. Liam Wolf took a five-wicket haul for the visitors, finishing with five for 39.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
Thanks to our opponents for the contest.
