There was no joy for our Hoppers Crossing 1st XI, who went down to Werribee 1st XI in VSDCA Seniors.
The scorecard reads Hoppers Crossing 1st XI 205, Werribee 1st XI 4/209. A classy 53 off 106 balls from Arihant Rawal was the highlight. There were also handy runs from Jaimin Patel (48). Dean Russ did the damage for our opponents with four for 96.
Rawal returned figures of two for 12 off five overs. Hats off to Darcy Harmer, whose 102 was a fine century for the hosts.
There were some good individual efforts to build on.
We'll go again.
