Saturday belonged to our HCCC 6th XI, who notched a win over Mambourin CC 6th XI in WSC&CCA Competition Seniors action.
The final scores were HCCC 6th XI 8/219, Mambourin CC 6th XI 10/163. Nithin Shetty brought up a stylish half-century, finishing with 97 not out off 96 balls. Fifty for Ashish Mishra, who finished with 52 off 36 balls.
PRADEEP REDDY RAMASAHAYAM top-scored for the visitors with 25. Our best with the ball was Thomas Kelly, who took three for 21. Izaan Nabeel weighed in with two for 12 off four overs.
It was a brilliant all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. It was a good way to turn the tables on our opponents, who beat us last time we met. Two wins on the trot now for the side.
Congratulations to the team on a great result.
